My passion for transforming our health system into a value based model is at the heart of what I do: Preventive & Lifestyle Medicine for patients and populations. As an Executive Board Member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and Co-Founder of our digital health venture, Valia Health, I’m honored to be developing solutions that enable healthier, more vibrant lives. I’ve been involved with Preventive and Lifestyle Medicine since medical school, embracing this niche within medicine that encompasses disease prevention and health promotion for both individual patients and populations. I also currently serve on the Executive Board of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine as the Secretary and Professionals in Training Chair.

The transitions in the economic models of our healthcare system and the emergence of population health management has been the ideal setting for the flourishing of a progressive new healthcare model. As care becomes value and outcomes based and patients are drawn to more personalized and predictive care delivery, clinically integrated wellness programs have an opportunity to address upstream determinants of health. I’ve had the privilege to create and become the Co-Program Director of a new Wellness for Life program, as part of a recently opened Preventive and Lifestyle Management Center. To exciting times ahead in developing and exploring solutions at this intersection between clinical + preventive medicine, digital health and wellness!
